Could a Coinbase Clone Script Power a Niche Crypto Exchange?

Not every crypto exchange has to be huge and compete with big players by listing hundreds of coins or some millions of traders. In some cases, narrowing down the audience or the category can be a better way of doing business. But then, can you use a Coinbase Clone Script to get there?

For instance, a company could want to develop an exchange that specializes in a certain type of digital asset, a regional market, institutional users, or even a segment of crypto investors. Rather than tackling everyone, the company can focus on the type of trading experience and services the audience actually requires.

A Coinbase exchange clone could jump-start the project with parts of the exchange, including registration, crypto wallets, trading, order management, and administration, then customize it around the exchange business model.

Still, a niche exchange is not without its complications. Liquidity is a significant hurdle. Even if you draw in a customer base, the lack of trading volume will affect spreads and execution. Security, compliance, payment integration, customer support can all be a pain to get right.

An additional factor to consider is deciding what market to be in. The niche exchange has to provide a couple of things that matter: whether that is more direct access to an asset class, easier trading or a service specifically built for a particular class of user. Just reskinning an existing exchange might not cut it.

I would say this has more to do with the target market and approach, than it does of the actual software.

What are your thoughts? Do you believe niche crypto exchanges can carve out their own market, or will traders always gravitate to the mega-players?
