What's New in 1.0.10:

This major update brings recognition, moderation, and performance improvements:

• POTW Win Counter: The add-on now automatically records the winner of each week (the most reacted post) and keeps a full win history. Each user's total wins are displayed as a "POTW" counter in the message user info (postbit) and on member profiles — permanent recognition for your best contributors.
• Promote to POTW: A new "Can promote POTW?" permission lets your staff manually promote any post to the POTW page. A "Promote POTW" link appears next to Reply on every post; after confirmation, the post is pinned in a dedicated collapsible "Promoted posts" section at the top of the POTW page until the end of the week, marked with a "Promoted post" badge. Promotions can be removed at any time by permitted users.
• Exclude Threads: A new "Exclude Thread IDs" option lets admins keep specific threads (e.g. games or off-topic megathreads that farm reactions) out of POTW entirely, so the spotlight stays on genuine discussion.
• Smarter Alerts: Watchers are now only alerted when there actually are new qualifying posts — no more empty "post of the week has been updated" notifications.
• Major Performance Upgrade: The POTW page and widget now run on a single optimized query with built-in caching and a supporting database index, dramatically reducing load on busy boards.
• Pagination Fix: Week sections now paginate cleanly — each page shows only its own weeks' headings and posts.

I've just released an exciting update for the Post of the Week (POTW) Add-on! This update introduces several key improvements, including:

• Customizable Post Limit: You can now control how many posts appear in the widget using the "Number of posts to display" option.
• Hide Images Option: A new feature allows you to hide images in post content while keeping reaction icons visible. This option is perfect for keeping your widget clean without losing engagement features.
• Enhanced Snippet Length: Easily control how much of each post is shown in the widget, with a customizable snippet length.
• Bug Fixes & Performance Enhancements: Various improvements to ensure smoother performance and better user experience.

How to Upgrade:​

• Simply install the latest version from the Admin Control Panel, and the new options will be available in the widget configuration page.
• Optionally, adjust the widget settings to enable or disable image hiding and tweak the number of posts shown.
